JAKARTA – Net foreign news on Thursday, January 16, concluded with a net sell of 195.25 million shares. The volume of sales and purchases made by foreign investors today was lower than it was the day before. Only around 2.72 billion shares were purchased, and 2.91 billion were released by foreign investors.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), two national banking issuers, made their way onto the top buy list today.

With a net buy of 86.65 million shares, foreign investors purchased 196.43 million BBRI shares. Furthermore, a net buy of 25.54 million shares resulted in the acquisition of 142.04 million BBRI shares.

The purchase of 68.16 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) had the effect of registering a net buy of 63.13 million shares for this energy infrastructure issuer.

The maritime business PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) and industrial company developer PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka Tbk (KIJA), the final two issuers on the top buy list, both registered a net buy of about 37 million shares.

Nearly 40 million KIJA shares and approximately 43.85 million BULL shares were purchased by foreigners.

However, with a net sell of 220.63 million shares, PT Goto Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) regained its position at the top of the list of companies that were sold. Foreigners sold about 923 million shares of this digital service provider, with a total buying volume of approximately 702.86 million.

E-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) followed suit with a net sell of 88.81 million shares, while coal mining holding company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) reported 68.21 million shares. 

BUMI's sales volume was 143.04 million shares, while BUKA's sales volume was 107.56 million.

After that, two media outlets concluded the coverage of today's net foreign. A net sell of 30.94 million shares was reported by PT Intermedia Capital Tbk (MDIA), while 30.23 million shares were reported by PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA).

Foreign investors bought around 30.94 million MDIA shares without buying a single share, while they sold around 55.67 million SCMA shares. (KD)
