JAKARTA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) topped the net foreign buy list with 86.65 million shares at the close of trading on Thursday (16/1). The previous day (15/1), the bank recorded a net foreign buy of 108.18 million shares, falling behind PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), which posted a net foreign buy of 116.59 million.

According to data compiled by IDN Financials, the state-owned bank recorded foreign buys and sells of 196.43 million and 109.77 million shares, respectively. These figures were lower than the previous day’s foreign buys and sells, which were 216.31 million and 108.12 million shares.

BBRI’s stock closed at IDR 4,160, up IDR 70 from the previous day’s closing price of IDR 4,090. A total of 349.38 million shares were traded across 62,284 transactions, with a total value of IDR 1.46 trillion.

Meanwhile, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) recorded a net foreign buy of 63.13 million shares. The foreign buy and sell figures stood at 68.16 million and 5.03 million shares, respectively. The previous day, BIPI’s net foreign buy was 5.86 million shares, with foreign buys and sells of 9.06 million and 3.20 million shares.

BIPI’s shares closed at IDR 89, up IDR 3 from IDR 86 per share. The volume of shares traded amounted to 204.65 million, in 2,495 transactions, valued at IDR 18.14 billion. On the previous day, 78.02 million shares were traded across 618 transactions, with a total value of IDR 6.66 billion. (LK/ZH)
