BREN shares and state-owned banks push JCI up 0.39%
JAKARTA - Shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) and a number of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) banks were the top movers (Top Leaders) of the JCI on Thursday (16/1) until it closed up 0.39% to 7,107.52.
BREN shares recorded a 5.51% price increase last Thursday, adding 19.27 points to the JCI.
Meanwhile, state-owned bank stocks that are included in the top of the JCI Top Leaders are PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI).
BMRI's share price strengthened 5.51% and contributed 11.17 points to JCI. Then BBRI and BBNI share prices rose by 2.17% and 1.71% respectively. BBRI shares added 10.76 points to the JCI and BBNI 3.29 points.
Foreign investors also recorded a net buy of IDR 430.33 billion. This figure is slightly lower than the foreign net buy on Wednesday (15/1) yesterday, which reached IDR 593.59 billion.
Most sectoral indices also closed in the green zone on Thursday. Sectors that closed in the red were Basic Materials, Consumer Non-Cyclical, Consumer Cyclical, Healthcare, and Technology. (KR/LM)
