JAKARTA – PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN) has appointed a new President Commissioner through an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) held a few days ago.

“Approved the appointment of Hendarman, S.H., as the Company’s Independent President Commissioner, effective from the closing of the meeting until the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2027,” stated BYAN’s management in an official announcement.

Hendarman replaces Purnomo Yusgiantoro, who resigned from his position as BYAN’s President Commissioner after being appointed as Special Advisor to the Merah Putih Cabinet for the 2024-2029 term.

Previously, Hendarman served as BYAN’s Independent Commissioner since 2023. He also held the position of Attorney General of Indonesia from 2007 to 2010.

According to IDN Financials data, BYAN’s share price increased by 0.12% or 25 points to IDR 20,500 per share in Friday’s (17/1) trading. Over the past year, the company’s share price rose by 3.40% or 675 points. (KR/ZH)
