Donald Trump revokes electric vehicle mandate
JAKARTA – President Donald J. Trump will revoke the executive order regarding electric vehicles to help sustaining the automotive industry of the United States (US). Trump reveals this plan during his inaugural speech as the 47th President of the US, Monday (20/1).
Trump claimed that the US will regain the title as the largest manufacturing country. According to him, the US has the most extensive oil and gas supply, a resource that no other manufacturing countries in the world have. “And I will utilise that resource,” he added.
According to Trump, the US will also regain its wealth if it is able to lower oil and gas price, while strategically boosting its oil and gas reserves and exporting it globally. “Liquid gold lies beneath our feet, and it will happen by my actions,” he claimed.
Followed by standing ovation from his supporters, Trump said that he will terminate the latest agreement regarding environmental affairs and revoke the electric vehicle mandate for the benefit of the US automotive industry. “To fulfil my scared promise to great automotive workers of the US,” Trump declared.
