JAKARTA – On Tuesday, January 21, the Indonesia Stock Exchange had a net sell of 1.71 billion shares from the buying and selling of foreign investors' stocks.

Overall, it was noted that today's amount of foreign transactions had increased. Purchase volume was only about 3.47 billion shares, while foreign sales volume soared to 5.18 billion shares.

GOTO shares from PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk had the biggest net sell on the top sell list. A net sell of 1.44 billion shares was reported by this parent issuer of digital services. Over 3.35 billion of its shares were sold, despite only 1.90 billion being purchased by foreign buyers.

Following with a net sell of roughly 46–47 million shares were e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) and augmented reality (AR) technology company PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG).

Foreign investors sold 64.53 million WIRG shares and 55.98 million BUKA shares.

With a net sell of 42.14 million shares, private banking firm PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) comes in the next place with a foreign sales volume of 97.42 million shares.

Following the release of 46.16 million shares of the mining contractor firm by foreigners, PT Darma Henwa Tbk concluded this list with a net sell of 38.92 million shares.

However, with a net buy of over 58 million shares, BIPI shares from PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk topped the top buy list. Only about 24.18 million shares of this energy infrastructure firm were sold, while 82.14 million shares were purchased by foreigners.

With a net buy of 38.68 million shares, national bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI) comes in second. Foreigners bought 188.93 million shares of this stock, which recorded the highest purchase volume today.

Then, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) and PT Central Omega Resources Tbk (DKFT) both announced a net buy of 16 million shares. In spite of this, DKFT shares were only bought in quantities of 22.94 million, whereas TLKM shares were bought in quantities over 60 million.


With a net buy of 15.67 million shares, shares of forklift rental issuer PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL) concluded this list in the final position. Approximately 22.17 million shares of this issuer were bought, while nearly 6.5 million shares were sold. (KD)
