JAKARTA - Star Energy Geothermal, a subsidiary of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), announced its latest collaboration with global energy technology company, SLB, to work on geothermal assets.

This collaboration combines Star Energy’s expertise in geothermal processing and SLB’s long years of experience in developing and industrialising energy technology solutions.

“In order to develop the technology for geothermal industry, a collaboration with user is vital to allow us to focus on one situation that carries the most significant economic impact,” said Irlan Amir, President of Renewables and Energy Efficiency, SLB.

In addition, Amir also mentioned that this partnership is meant to reduce risk and boost project efficiency through technology innovation.

Prior to this SLB has partnered with Star Energy Geothermal to develop tech solution, such as optimal location for wells and utilisation of artificial intelligence (AI) in geothermal well drilling.
