JAKARTA – PT Bank Permata Tbk (BNLI), known as Permata Bank, has once again teamed up with Japan Airlines (JAL) to present the Permata Bank x Japan Airlines Travel Fair 2025, held at Lippo Mall Puri, Kembangan, West Jakarta.

The travel fair will take place over the next four days, from Thursday, January 30, to Sunday, February 2, 2025. In collaboration with nine travel agents, Permata Bank and JAL are offering a variety of promotions on plane tickets and travel packages to various destinations in Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, and Okinawa.

Japan is recognized as a major tourist destination for Indonesian travelers. "The number of Indonesian tourists visiting Japan has increased by 21% compared to the previous year," the management noted in an official statement today (30/1).

Djumariah Tenteram, Director of Consumer Banking at Permata Bank, also observed a significant rise in credit card usage by Permata Bank customers abroad.

"We saw a nearly 30% increase last year, signalling strong demand from credit cardholders traveling overseas," she elaborated.

With the growing tourism potential, the Permata Bank x Japan Airlines Travel Fair 2025 is Permata Bank and JAL's fourth collaboration.

"We started organizing this travel fair four years ago with JAL as our partner. Since the first year, through the second, third, and now the fourth, we've seen consistent growth in sales," said Haryanto, Division Head of Consumer Lending at Permata Bank.

Haryanto expressed ambitious goals for this year’s travel fair, aiming for a twofold increase in sales.

This target will be supported by exclusive offers for Permata Bank credit cardholders, including discounts of up to IDR 8 million and 0% instalment plans for up to 12 months with Permata Credit Cards. Additionally, the Permata ME Global Card allows payments in multiple currencies without conversion fees.

"We believe that with innovative payment solutions and support from Japan Airlines, our customers' dream trips can be realized more easily," Tenteram concluded. (ZH)
