SMCB suspended, what is the reason?
JAKARTA - PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SMCB) confirmed that Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) had been temporarily suspended all trading of shares of SMCB, starting from January 31, 2025.
“The Temporary Suspension of Securities Trading refers to IDX announcement Number Peng-S00003/BEI.PLP/01-2025 regarding fulfilment of free float shares as of 31 December 2024," said Andika Lukmana, Corporate Secretary of SMCB, in the information disclosure in IDX today (3/2).
Lukmana also mentioned that as of now, the temporary suspension of trading of SMCB shares does not affect the company’s operations, legal standing, or business continuity.
Moreover, SMCB declares its commitment to meet free float requirement soon so that the trading may be carried out again.
For information, 83.52% of SMCB are controlled by PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR). Taiheiyo Cement Corporation claims another 15.16%, and public investors, the remaining 1.32%. (DK/ZH)
