JAKARTA – Gwie Gunawan has transferred all of his shares in  PT Betonjaya Manunggal Tbk (BTON) to his wife and three children as part of a succession of majority ownership in the company.

As reported on Thursday (6/2), Novi Tjahjaning Rahayu, Corporate Secretary of BTON, announced the change in ownership following the transfer of Gwie Gunawan’s shares through a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Gwie Gunawan reportedly donated 575 million shares, or 79.86% of the company’s total outstanding shares of 720 million.

The recipients of the shares were known to be Gwie Gunadi Gunawan and Gwie Gunanto Gunawan, each receiving 35.94%, as well as Gwie Ratna Djuwita Gunawan and Wong Ratnawati, each receiving 3.99%.

For the record, Wong Ratnawati is the mother of Gwie Gunadi Gunawan, Gwie Gunanto Gunawan, and Gwie Ratna Djuwita Gunawan. The sons hold key positions in the company, with Gwie Gunadi as President Director, and Gwie Gunanto as the President Commissioner.

As of December 2024, BTON had 662 shareholders, with 39.34 million shares, or 5.46% of the total outstanding shares, listed as free float. (LK/ZH)
