MDKA offers IDR2.8 trillion bonds, what for?

JAKARTA - Gold and mineral mining company PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) will issue Shelf Registration Bonds V Phase II/2025, with a total principal amount of IDR 2.8 trillion.
The bonds are offered in 2 series, namely Series A with a principal amount of IDR 856 billion and Series B IDR 1.94 trillion. Series A bonds are offered with a coupon of 7.25% per year and a tenor of 367 calendar days. Meanwhile, Series B bonds are offered with a coupon of 8.75% per year and a tenor of 3 years.
MKDA will use IDR750 billion from the bond issuance to repay the 2024 Series A Shelf Registration Bond IV Phase V, which will mature on 2 March 2025. The rest will be channeled to pay the entire principal of MKDA Shelf Registration Bonds III Phase I Year 2022.
The bond public offering period will take place on 19-20 February 2025. Meanwhile, the bond listing will be held on 26 February 2025.
MDKA has received an ‘idA+’ rating from Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefindo), for the bonds to be issued. (KR/LM)
