JAKARTA - Independent Director and Corporate Secretary of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) has passed away in New Delhi, India.

‘The cremation process was held this afternoon,’ BUMI management wrote in its official statement, quoted on Saturday (8/2) yesterday.

Dileep was an Indian citizen and had joined the Bakrie Group since 1997. He has held a number of strategic positions in a number of Bakrie Group issuers.

In 1998-2004, Dileep served as Director of PT Trans-Bakrie. Then he served as PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk (BTEL) and PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR), as well as Director and Corporate Secretary of BUMI.

Dileep graduated from Kanpur University in 1971, with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He has also earned a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing and finance from the Indian Institute of Management (IIMA). (KR/LM)
