OJK releases 97 authorised online loans, here's the list
JAKARTA – The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to strengthen its oversight of the fintech peer-to-peer (P2P) lending sector, also known as online lending (pinjol). Throughout 2024, OJK shut down four online lenders that violated regulations, as part of its commitment to protect consumers and enhance the credibility of the fintech industry in Indonesia.
OJK reported that it issued 661 administrative sanctions against online lenders in 2024, including four business license revocations (CIU). Two operators had their licenses revoked due to administrative sanctions, while the other two voluntarily returned their business licenses.
The two online lenders that returned their licenses were Dhanapala and Jembatan Emas in July 2024. Meanwhile, two others had their licenses revoked by OJK for failing to meet minimum equity requirements and disregarding supervisory recommendations, namely TaniFund (7 complaints) and Investree (85 complaints).
