JAKARTA – After recording significant growth in its Investment Banking services throughout 2024, BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS), a subsidiary of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), has set a target to guide four companies to the stock market in 2025.

According to an official statement today (12/2), BRIDS saw a 44% year-on-year (yoy) increase in the number of bond underwriting clients, from 25 in 2023 to 36 in 2024.

Additionally, the number of transactions handled rose sharply by 86% yoy, from 38 in 2023 to 53 in 2024.

In terms of value, the total bond and sukuk underwritings managed by BRIDS increased by 47% yoy, reaching IDR 14.6 trillion in 2024, up from IDR 9.9 trillion the previous year.

Aside from growth in underwriting, BRIDS also demonstrated dominance in secondary market bond trading.

BRIDS led other securities companies in government bond brokerage transactions, with a total value of IDR 275 trillion in 2024, while corporate bond brokerage transactions reached IDR 49 trillion.

Looking ahead to 2025, BRIDS is set to aggressively expand its business, targeting four new stock IPOs and numerous bond and sukuk underwritings.

“The company will continue to strengthen its position as a trusted partner in the capital market. We aim to support four stock IPOs and numerous bond and sukuk underwritings in 2025,” said Laksono Widodo, President Director of BRIDS.

As part of its strategic plan, BRIDS is also committed to enhancing its role in expanding capital market access in Indonesia by organising various forums and workshops with regulators and stakeholders to improve investor literacy and introduce alternative capital market funding options for corporations.
