JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI saw 1.74% or 113.79 points increase to 6,645.78 last Wednesday (12/2), putting an end to 5 days of consecutive declines.

As mentioned by IDNFinancials.com prior, JCI hit 6,531.99 last Tuesday (11/2), its lowest position in three years.

Last Wednesday, transaction volume in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) was recorded at 16.26 billion shares, with total value of IDR 12.93 trillion, while transaction frequency stood at 1.09 million.

Foreign investors still mostly sell their shares, thus registering net sell worth IDR 208.23 billion.

PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) reigned Top Leaders, driving JCI upwards with 6.90% increase in price or 18.51 index points. Meanwhile, PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) topped the laggards, reporting 3.09% decline, or down 4.58 index points.

All sectoral indices collectively saw uptrends last Wednesday, with infrastructure sector booking the highest growth among others of 2.90%. (KR/ZH)
