JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) aims for loan growth in the range of 7-9% in 2025, aligning with the company’s commitment to supporting the SME sector.

Sunarso, President Director of BBRI, revealed that in 2024, the bank's loans to SMEs had reached Rp1,110.37 trillion, accounting for approximately 81.97% of the total loans disbursed, which stood at Rp1,354.64 trillion.

"Our projection for 2025 is to maintain stable loan growth every year," Sunarso stated in an official disclosure on Thursday (13/2).

He added that BBRI aims to maintain a net interest margin (NIM) between 7.3-7.7% and keep the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio below 3%.

"We are closely monitoring the NPL levels and various economic indicators to ensure healthy and sustainable growth," he said.

Although the target for loan growth is optimistic, Sunarso noted that interest rates and credit risks remain significant challenges. (DK/ZH)
