JAKARTA – President Prabowo Subianto has announced the launch of Indonesia's new investment management body, Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara), which will manage funds totalling IDR 14.61 quadrillion, or approximately USD 900 billion.

Danantara is scheduled to officially begin operations on 24 February 2025, with the aim of driving investment in renewable energy, manufacturing, downstream industries, and food production.

He further added that Danantara’s initial funding would reach USD 20 billion.

“The initial funding in 2025 will be around USD 20 billion. We plan to start approximately 15 to 20 billion-dollar projects that will create added value for Indonesia,” he said.

The launch of Danantara underscores Indonesia's commitment to building a sustainable economy and enhancing global competitiveness. Through these investments, the government hopes to boost economic growth to 8%. (DK/ZH)
