JAKARTA – PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) denied reports of any closing down by community organizations at its gold production facility, operated by its subsidiary PT Citra Palu Minerals (CPM).

“There has been no sealing or closure of CPM’s office,” stated Agus Projosasmito, President Director & CEO of BRMS, in an official statement today.

According to a previous report by IDNFinancials.com, residents from the Front Pemuda Kali (FPK) held a protest on Monday (12/2) in front of CPM’s office, demanding the cessation of mining activities at Poboya, Mantikulore, Palu.

In response to the protest, BRMS management confirmed that CPM has followed all necessary procedures, including environmental impact analysis and acquiring required permits. These include contract of work, production operation approvals, feasibility studies, and other licenses for both open-pit and underground mining.

Agus added that all mining activities have been conducted through comprehensive studies, managed by experts and supported by the latest technology. “As a result, the impact of the company's activities can be minimized or even eliminated,” Agus emphasized.

BRMS remains optimistic that CPM’s gold production at Poboya will increase, positively influencing the company's financial performance in the future. (KR/ZH)
