JCI closes at 6,638.46 at week's end

JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed at 6,638.46 points, rising by 24.89 points in Friday's trading session (Feb 14).
Based on trading data compiled by IDNFinancials.com, IHSG started the first session strong at 6,674.74 points but saw a correction nearing midday, closing the session at 6,623.10 points. In the afternoon session, the index showed signs of recovery, although it did not perform as strongly as in the morning.
The upward movement of IHSG in the green zone was supported by several large-cap stocks, including PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), which rose by 1.99%, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) by 2.82%, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) by 4.55%, and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) by 1.25%.
Meanwhile, some stocks that declined include PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), which fell by 0.28%, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) by 3.26%, PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) by 2.29%, and PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) by 2.04%. (LK/ZH)
