Bank Mandiri executives bag 1.11 million shares at low prices

JAKARTA – Two directors of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) purchased a total of 1.1 million BMRI shares after the price was corrected last week.
The two directors who acquired BMRI shares are Agus Dwi Handaya and Alexandra Askandar. According to data from IDNFinancials.com, Agus serves as a Director at BMRI, while Alexandra is the Vice President Director.
In a report submitted to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Agus purchased 800,000 BMRI shares, increasing his stake in the banking issuer to 0.0165%. With a purchase price of IDR 5,000 per share, the transaction value is estimated at IDR 4 billion.
Meanwhile, Alexandra bought 310,000 BMRI shares, raising her stake to 0.0159%. The shares were acquired at a price of IDR 4,870, bringing the total transaction value to approximately IDR 1.51 billion.
In their disclosures to the exchange, Agus and Alexandra stated that these share purchases were made for personal investment purposes.
On Friday (14/2), BMRI shares closed up 1.99% or IDR 100 to IDR 5,125 per share. However, since the beginning of the year, BMRI’s share price has dropped by 12.39% or IDR 725 per share. (KR/ZH)
