JAKARTA – PT Uni-Charm Indonesia Tbk (UCID), a producer of diapers and sanitary pads, reported a 19.4% year-on-year (yoy) decline in net profit for 2024, amounting to IDR 350.4 billion.

According to UCID's 2024 Financial Report, the company's weakened performance was evident from its top-line, with operating revenue falling 5.6% yoy from IDR 10.2 trillion to IDR 9.7 trillion.

The drop in revenue also led to a 6.3% yoy decrease in the cost of goods sold, reaching IDR 7.07 trillion. However, the decline was not significant enough to offset the pressure on gross profit, which fell 2.4% yoy to IDR 1.98 trillion.

In terms of financial position, the company's total assets increased by 2% yoy, rising from IDR 8.5 trillion at the end of 2023 to IDR 8.7 trillion by the end of 2024, with total cash and cash equivalents amounting to IDR 1.80 trillion. (EF/ZH)
