Debt restructuring completed, WSKT outlines strategy moving forward

JAKARTA – PT Waskita Karya Tbk (WSKT) has unveiled its ongoing transformation strategy, aimed at restoring the financial and business performance of the company.
Ermy Puspa Yunita, Corporate Secretary of WSKT, highlighted four main aspects of this transformation strategy: business, organisation and culture, financial restructuring, and digitalisation.
"The goal is to realise the company’s vision of becoming a leading entity in building a sustainable ecosystem," said Ermy in a press release on Monday (17 February).
To enhance its business performance, Ermy explained, WSKT will focus on increasing the New Contract Value (NCV). To support this, the company will establish a Risk Management Committee to evaluate the risks and feasibility of projects.
Additionally, Ermy noted that WSKT would work on improving employee competencies to align with the company’s business strategy.
To support these initiatives, WSKT continues to innovate in the field of digital technology. For instance, the company is implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in its operations and ongoing projects.
On the financial front, WSKT continues to work on its debt restructuring efforts. According to IDNFinancials.com, the value of the company’s outstanding debt that has been restructured through various agreements reaches IDR 31.5 trillion.
"Now, the restructuring has been made effective, allowing Waskita’s operations to run optimally," she added.
As of September 2024, WSKT recorded a gross profit of IDR 1.03 trillion, marking a 33.18% year-on-year growth. However, the company still faced a loss of IDR 3 trillion. (DH/KR/ZH)
