JAKARTA. Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed in the green on Tuesday (18/2), gaining 0.62% or 42.67 points to settle at 6,873.55.

Shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) led the JCI’s gains, with a price increase of 2.98%, contributing 18.44 index points. This was followed by PT Amman Mineral Indonesia Tbk (AMMN) shares, which rose 4.63% and contributed 10.41 index points.

On the other hand, shares of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN) topped the list of Top Laggards, with a price decline of 2.85%, dragging down the index by 7.71 points. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares followed in second place, falling by 3.66% and weighing on the index by 6.58 points.

Most sectoral indices also posted gains on Tuesday. However, three sectors weakened: Property and Real Estate (-0.54%), Infrastructure (-0.08%), and Transportation and Logistics (-0.91%).

Foreign investors recorded a net buy of IDR 384.76 billion throughout Tuesday’s trading, indicating easing pressure compared to last week. (KR/ZH)
