Foreign investors still offloading, Erajaya tops net sell?

JAKARTA – On Wednesday, February 19, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange continued to exhibit a strong sell trend. Nevertheless, there was little difference in the volume of foreign purchases and sales today.
3.67 billion shares of stock were purchased by foreign investors overall, a sum known as "foreign buy." Foreign investors had a net sell of only 78.40 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.76 billion shares.
With a net sell of 98.63 million shares, mobile phone and electronics retailer PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) topped the sell list. 43.49 million ERAA shares were purchased by foreign investors, while 142.13 million shares were sold.
With 76.29 million shares sold, private bank PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) came in second. In addition to buying over 50 million shares, foreigners sold 126.42 million of its shares.
After that, foreigners purchased 45.58 million shares of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) and sold 96.18 million shares, resulting in a 50.60 million net sell for this minimarket issuer. After foreigners sold 134.20 million of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk's (BMRI) shares, the company made a net sell of 41.48 million shares.
As 54.36 million shares of this fiber optic business were released, PT Sinergi Inti Andalan Prima Tbk (INET) ended the day with a net sell of 38.88 million shares.
With 49.30 million shares, PT MNC Land Tbk (KPIG) made the largest net buy this time. A total of 217.13 million shares of this MNC Group property company were bought, while only 167.82 million were sold. Then, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), a state telecommunications issuer, and PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), the parent issuer of digital services, each obtained a net buy of about 44 million shares.
Over 1.32 billion GOTO shares were purchased by foreign investors, while 1.28 billion were sold. Meanwhile, TLKM's purchase volume was 104.59 million, with a sale transaction of approximately 60 million shares.
After that, PT Era Media Sejahtera Tbk (DOOH) shares saw a net buy of 32.53 million shares, and PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL) shares saw a net buy of 30.22 million shares. SMIL's foreign buy volume was 57.18 million shares, while DOOH's was around 45 million.
While SMIL's shares are involved in forklift rental, DOOH's stock is involved in advertising and investment management. (KD)
