BUMA offers debut sukuk ijarah with fantastic value

JAKARTA – PT Bukit Makmur Mandiri Utama (BUMA) has launched its first Sukuk Ijarah I Year 2025 with a value of IDR 2 trillion. This inaugural sukuk from the subsidiary of PPT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) will be offered in three series.
Iwan Fuad Salim, Director of Delta Dunia Group, stated that the issuance of the sukuk ijarah is part of their efforts to diversify funding sources and enhance the company's operational capabilities.
“The high demand for BUMA's Rupiah Bonds II Year 2024, which was oversubscribed, reflects investors' confidence in BUMA’s financial strength and disciplined execution,” he said on Monday (24/2).
The Sukuk Ijarah will be offered in three series: Series A with a maturity of 370 days, Series B with a 3-year period, and Series C with a 5-year term. The ijarah compensation will be paid quarterly, starting on 20 June 2025.
He added that this sukuk offering enhances the company’s credibility and ability to secure diversified funding for the company’s sustainability.
"By tapping into the growing Islamic financial market, the Group strengthens its funding diversification, reinforces its capital structure, broadens its investor base, and reaffirms its commitment to financial resilience and operational excellence," he said.
Silfanny Bahar, Director of BUMA, mentioned that the proceeds from the sukuk issuance will support BUMA’s long-term growth in Indonesia.
The funds will be allocated as follows: 50% for capital expenditures, particularly on heavy equipment, and 50% for working capital. "This initiative strengthens financial resilience while ensuring operational efficiency," she said. (LK/ZH)
