JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) tumbled 2.41%, or 162.51 points, to 6,587.09 at the close of trading on Tuesday (25/2), after ending yesterday at 6,749.60.

At the opening of trading, JCI briefly touched its highest level of 6,772.65. However, since 9.10 AM WIB, the index continued its downward rally, reaching its lowest point of 6,576.97.

According to data compiled by IDNFinancials.com, all sectoral indices also weakened today. Basic Material sector led the decline, falling by 3.45%. Meanwhile, Finance sector was relatively resilient, with a slight drop of 0.73%.

Shares of PT Dwi Guna Laksana Tbk (DWGL) topped the losers’ list, dropping by 24.76%, while PT Indal Aluminium Industry Tbk (INAI) led the gainers, rising by 34.07%.

As for trading volume on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) today, it reached 211.83 billion shares, with a total transaction value of IDR 11.66 trillion. Meanwhile, the trading frequency was recorded at 1.25 million transactions. (KR/ZH)
