JAKARTA – Lawrence Barki has increased his investment in PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM) through a series of share purchases on February 24-25. Lawrence Barki serves as the President Commissioner (Preskom) of HRUM.

Renny Soependi, Corporate Secretary of HRUM, stated that Lawrence Barki acquired 6.23 million HRUM shares in two separate stages. "The purpose of the transaction is for investment," she said in a statement on Wednesday (26/2).

In the first stage, 561,900 shares were purchased at IDR 820 per share, followed by 5.67 million shares at IDR 785. The total value of the transactions amounts to IDR 5 billion, and after the transaction, Lawrence Barki’s shareholding increased to 0.046% of HRUM’s total shares.

As of January 2025, HRUM had 13.51 billion shares outstanding, with controlling shareholders holding 79.88% and non-controlling shareholders 20.12%. The free float is recorded at 18.11%, with 32,593 investors holding HRUM shares. The Barki family remains the ultimate beneficiary of the shareholding.

Lawrence Barki was appointed as President Commissioner of HRUM during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) on 25 August 2020. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Boston University School of Management, USA. (LK/ZH)
