Net foreign concluded at a net sell of 126 million shares

JAKARTA – On Wednesday, February 26, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange once more showed a net sell. Foreign transactions that resulted in a net sell of 237.48 million shares on the previous trading day saw a reduction to 126.79 million shares today.
When compared to the previous trading day (February 25), the volume of international buying and selling itself saw a notable decrease. It was estimated that foreign investors had purchased about 3.5 billion shares of stock in total. Today, foreign investors had a net sell of 126.79 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.62 billion shares.
With a net sale of 49.29 million shares, private bank PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) was the highest seller. The volume of sales abroad exceeded 100 million shares, with purchases of around 51.05 million shares.
After foreigners sold 45.49 million ERAA shares today, PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA), a retailer of mobile phones and tablets, followed with a net sell of 33.15 million shares. With 32.16 million of net sell, national bank PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) trailed ERAA by a narrow margin. In addition to purchasing 86.08 million BMRI shares, foreign investors also sold about 118.24 million shares.
After that, foreigners purchased about 73.79 million shares of the parent mining issuer, PT Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS), and sold 101.23 million shares. This issuer was able to obtain a net sell of 27.44 million shares in the end.
With a net sell of 19.61 million shares, PT Bintang Samudera Mandiri Lines Tbk (BSML) ended the top sell list. Almost 25 million of these shares of this shipping and logistics services company were sold by foreigners, with a purchase volume of only around 5 million.
However, the largest net buy, around 26.90 million shares, was made by the mass media company PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA). This number came from subtracting SCMA's foreign buy volume of 26.61 million shares from its foreign sale volume of 53.52 million.
After that, PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON), a real estate developer, acquired 23.54 million shares of net buy. This real estate issuer had 30.32 million shares purchased overseas, but only about 6.78 million were sold.
Then, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk (MEDC), an energy exploration and production firm, and PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), an e-commerce company, both acquired net buys of around 17.6 million shares.
Over 47.48 million BUKA shares were sold by foreigners, while 65.15 million were purchased. Additionally, foreigners sold about 5 million shares and purchased 22.65 million MEDC.
Oil and gas tanker firm PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) concluded with a net buy of 16.80 million shares in the final top buy position. BULL's overseas purchase totaled 18.18 million, with approximately 1.3 million shares sold. (KD)
