JAKARTA – The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) will soon delist the shares of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk (SRIL) following its permanent closure on Saturday (1/3).

I Gede Nyoman Yetna, Director of Listing at IDX, stated that the exchange is monitoring the operational developments of Sritex before officially proceeding with the delisting.

"The first step in the delisting process is to directly confirm certain issues with management," said Nyoman during an interview at the IDX building on Friday (28/2).

He explained that the IDX will also request full disclosure from the company and conduct an on-site visit before making any further decisions.

In addition, the exchange will coordinate with third parties, including market professionals, to ensure that the delisting process adheres to the proper procedures and regulations.

The closure of Sritex will result in the layoff of 10,665 employees. The appointed curator will handle severance payments, while the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will manage the workers' pension fund (Jaminan Hari Tua/JHT).

The following details the number of employees affected by layoffs in several Sritex business units:

  • PT Sritex Sukoharjo: 8,504 people
  • PT Primayuda Boyolali: 956 people
  • PT Sinar Panja Jaya Semarang: 40 people
  • PT Bitratex Semarang: 104 people.
