JAKARTA – Foreign capital outflows surged by IDR 7.6 trillion during last week (24-28/2). This data was cited from PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas' research published on Monday (3/3).

Helmy Kristanto, an analyst from PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, reported a significant increase in foreign capital outflows during the fourth week of February 2025. With this realisation, foreign capital outflows month-to-date (mtd) and year-to-date (ytd) reached IDR 15.9 trillion and IDR 19.7 trillion, respectively.

Data from BRI Danareksa Sekuritas also indicated that most of the foreign capital outflows were seen in five big market capitalisation (market cap) issuers. These issuers include PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA)PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI)PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA)PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), and PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR).

Meanwhile, Bank Indonesia (BI) recorded foreign capital flows based on transactions between February 24-27 2025. Non-residents were recorded as net sellers of IDR 10.33 trillion, consisting of net sales of IDR 7.31 trillion in the stock market, IDR 1.24 trillion in government bonds (SBN), and IDR 1.78 trillion in Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI).

In a press release quoted on Monday (3/3), Ramdan Denny Prakoso, Executive Director of BI’s Communications Department, stated that during 2025, based on settlement data, non-residents recorded net sales of IDR 15.47 trillion in the stock market, net purchases of IDR 12.86 trillion in SBN, and IDR 7.67 trillion in SRBI.
