JAKARTA – PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) and PT Hutama Karya (Persero) will offer a 20% toll discount to facilitate smoother traffic flow during the 2025 Eid mass-homecoming (mudik).

This discount will apply to sections of the Trans-Java Toll Road and the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) for six days, from March 24-27, 2025, for the outbound trip and 8-9 April 2025 for the return trip.

Subakti Syukur, President Director of JSMR, assured that this policy would not lead to significant potential losses for the company. He emphasised that as a state-owned enterprise (BUMN), Jasa Marga is not solely focused on financial profit but also considers social and environmental aspects.

“We must incorporate social aspects in public services, so this discount will not have too much of an impact on our revenue,” said Subakti during a press conference at the Ministry of SOEs office on Tuesday (4/3).

Budi Harto, President Director of Hutama Karya, echoed the sentiment, noting that the increase in traffic volume during the discount period would offset any potential revenue losses.

“The rise in traffic during the mass-homecoming and return periods is significant enough to balance out the revenue loss from the discounted toll rates,” he explained. (EF/KR/ZH)
