Bain Capital acquires 10.5% of SRAJ, promoting hospital expansion

JAKARTA – Bain Capital Credit Member LLC has officially acquired a 10.5% stake in PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (SRAJ), the operator of Mayapada Hospitals.
Bain Capital now holds 1.28 billion shares of SRAJ, valued at IDR 817 billion, after completing two transactions. The first transaction involved the purchase of 238.25 million newly issued shares through a rights issue at IDR 2,200 per share on February 26, 2025.
Bain Capital then bought 1.04 billion SRAJ shares from PT Surya Cipta Inti Cemerlang at IDR 280 per share on February 28, 2025.
Arie Farisandi, SRAJ’s Corporate Secretary, stated in an official release on Tuesday (4/3) that this transaction reduced Surya Cipta Inti Cemerlang's stake in the company to 50.27% from the previous 58.82%.
This acquisition aligns with SRAJ's larger plan to expand the Mayapada Hospital network.
According to Arie, SRAJ is targeting to operate 10-12 hospitals in major cities this year. In addition, the company will continue to focus on optimizing the operations of its existing hospitals.
"The company's projected working capital for 2025 is approximately IDR 350 billion," he added. (EF/KR/ZH)
