AREA suspended, CLAY resumes trading

JAKARTA – Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) has suspended the trading of PT Dunia Virtual Online Tbk (AREA), after it was previously placed under the Unusual Market Activity (UMA) watch on Thursday (27/2).
IDX took this action following a significant price surge in AREA’s shares over a short period. AREA's share price skyrocketed by 10% over the past week and by 130.48% over the past month.
Yulianto Aji Sadono, Head of IDX Transaction Monitoring Division, stated that they needed to temporarily halt the trading of AREA shares in both the regular and cash markets starting on 6 March 2025.
“This action is a form of investor protection, allowing them more time to carefully analyse market conditions,” Yulianto said in a public disclosure on Wednesday (5/3).
Meanwhile, trading in PT Citra Putra Realty Tbk (CLAY) shares has resumed after a previous suspension. Based on further evaluation and a February 5, 2025 announcement, IDX has lifted the suspension on CLAY shares starting from the first trading session on March 6, 2025.
“The exchange advises all parties concerned to always pay attention to the information disclosed by the company,” Yulianto added.
In the first trading session on Thursday (6/3), CLAY’s share price stood at IDR 560 per share as of 09:55 WIB, down 9.68% from the opening price. (EF/KR/ZH)
