JAKARTA – On Thursday, March 6, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange showed a net sell. If international transactions were a net buy of 533.45 million shares the previous trading day, they concluded with a net sell of 29.38 million shares today.

The quantity of international purchases today is rather steady, but the volume of foreign sales has dropped considerably from the previous trading day (5 March). 3.19 billion shares were purchased by foreign buyers today, representing the total volume of foreign buys. Today, foreign investors established a net sell of 29.38 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.22 billion shares.

Once more, foreigners trade the most shares of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). 663.47 million shares were purchased by GOTO from overseas, while 1.06 billion shares were sold. GOTO shares had a net sell of 405.09 million shares.

With a net sell of about 36 million shares, PT Bank Artha Graha Internasional Tbk (INPC) came in second. It seems that foreigners purchased 15.26 million shares of this financial issuer before selling 51.23 million shares. Then, with a net sell of 30.76 million shares, came the telecom firm PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN). About 45 million shares of FREN were released by its foreign investors, but only 14.13 million were purchased.

With a net sell of 23.66 million TLKM and 22.48 million MAPA, retail firm PT MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA) and another telecommunications company, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), ended the top sell row. After purchasing 73.63 million TLKM shares, foreigners sold 97.29 million of them. Additionally, after about 21.63 million of MAPA's shares were bought, 44.12 million of those shares were sold.

Meanwhile, at 130.44 million shares, shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) emerged as the stock with the biggest net buy today. Only over 22.50 million shares were sold by foreign investors, which purchased nearly 153 million shares in this mineral mining business.

The impact of foreign investors purchasing 106.26 million and selling 38.75 million shares of nickel mining company PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) was then followed by a net buy of 67.50 million shares. Then, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy infrastructure issuer, received a net buy of nearly fifty million shares. 53 million BIPI shares were purchased by foreigners, while 3.18 million shares were sold.

The two bottom issuers on the top buy list are the banking firm PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and the oil and gas tanker company PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL). The BBRI stock reached a net buy of 37.89 million shares as foreigners purchased 265.96 million BBRI shares and sold 228.06 million shares. A net buy of 36.11 million shares was made by foreigners after they sold 28.29 million shares and purchased 64.40 million BULL shares. (KD)
