JAKARTA – The President Director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), Sunarso, has once again purchased shares in BBRI.

On March 4, 2025, the former President Director of PT Pegadaian (Persero) purchased 212,800 shares of BBRI at a price of IDR 3,630, with a total transaction value of approximately IDR 770 million.

"The purpose of the transaction (share purchase) is for investment," said BBRI Corporate Secretary, Agustya Hendy Bernadi, through a disclosure of information on Thursday (6/3).

With this transaction, Sunarso’s total shareholding in BBRI has increased.

"Previously, he only held 5.87 million shares. Now, his shareholding has risen to 6.08 million shares, worth IDR 24 billion," said Bernadi.

According to IDNFinancials.com, on January 16, 2025, Sunarso acquired 210,000 shares of BBRI at a price of IDR 4,200, with a transaction value of almost IDR 900 million.

For reference, BBRI's share price had reached its lowest point in the past year at IDR 3,360. However, since then, it has surged by 17.6% to IDR 3,950. (DK/LM/ZH)
