Raising stakes, controller buys more ITIC shares

JAKARTA – Djonny Saksono has once again collected shares of PT Indonesian Tobacco Tbk (ITIC) in a transaction that took place on 5 March. Throughout last week, the President Director of ITIC repeatedly increased his shareholding.
In a public disclosure cited on Friday (7/3), Djonny Saksono revealed that he had bought 430,400 shares at a price of IDR 430 per share. "The purpose of the transaction is for investment," he said.
In addition to investment purposes, the transaction also helps Djonny maintain his position as the controlling shareholder of ITIC. After the purchase, his ownership increased to 639.55 million shares (67.99%) from 639.12 million shares (67.94%).
Last week, he regularly bought ITIC shares at various prices. On February 24, he purchased 499,800 shares at IDR 236 per share. On February 25, he acquired 77,300 shares at IDR 224.01 per share, and on February 26, he bought 106,400 shares at IDR 221.28 per share. (LK/ZH)
