JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) strengthened 5.83% from 3-7 March 2025, closing at 6,636.00. This strengthening pushed the market capitalisation of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) up 5.24% to IDR 11,450 trillion.

During the week, foreign investors recorded a net sell of IDR450.33 billion. This signalled that foreign selling pressure began to ease from the previous week, which reached IDR10.22 trillion.

Shares of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) ranked first in the Top Leaders, after recording a price increase of 13.39% during the week. This increase contributed 69.13% to the index points.

Meanwhile, the shares of PT Global Digital Niaga Tbk (BELI) ranked first in the Top Laggards, aka the ballast of the JCI, as its price fell 8.44%. However, this price decline only suppressed 2.55% of the index points.

Stock trading volume last week reached 99.41 billion shares, with a total transaction value of IDR 65.68 trillion. Meanwhile, the trading frequency was recorded at 5.53 million transactions.

Based on performance per sector, the technology sector index recorded the highest increase in the past week, reaching 16.48%. While other sectoral indices closed higher, with the lowest increase in the transport sector which only reached 0.36%. (KR/LM)
