JAKARTA – PT Remala Abadi Tbk (DATA) plans to expand its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service network in 2025 by building 500,000 new homepass in various cities.

This expansion continues the company’s growth in 2024, when the length of DATA’s fibre network reached over 10,000 km, a 54% year-on-year (yoy) increase.

Agus Setiono, President Director of DATA, stated that this expansion reflects the company’s optimism about the potential of the fixed broadband market in Indonesia.

“We see growing demand for internet services, and with wider infrastructure, we can provide higher-quality services and reach more customers,” said Agus in an official statement on Saturday (8/3).

In 2025, DATA aims to build 200,000 homepass in Cirebon and 300,000 homepass in Bandung. The company will also build backbone and last-mile networks from Java to Bali to strengthen service penetration outside Jabodetabek.

“DATA is optimistic that this expansion will further strengthen its position in the fibre optic internet service industry,” Agus revealed. (DK/KR/ZH)
