JAKARTA – PT Sinergi Asia Corporindo (SAC) secured IDR 8.5 billion from the divestment of 100 million shares in PT Sinergi Multi Lestarindo Tbk (SMLE) last week (5/3). The transaction occurred shortly after shareholders approved SMLE's plan to expand into the pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical materials business.

In a disclosure quoted on Tuesday (11/3), Ari Wahyu Riansyah, Corporate Secretary of SMLE, stated that SAC's shareholding decreased by 4.3% to 1.66 billion (73.12%) from the previous 1.76 billion (77.42%).

At the time of the transaction, SMLE shares strengthened at IDR 115 per share. However, the stock price of this issuer corrected by 12.28%, or IDR 14, to IDR 100 five days after the transaction. Today (11/3), SMLE shares closed down 2.91%, or IDR 3, to IDR 100.

On January 24, 2025, shareholders approved the company's plan to enter the business of wholesale trading of pharmaceuticals for humans and pharmaceutical materials for humans and animals.

As of February 28, 2025, the total number of SMLE shares recorded was 2.32 billion, with the portion held by Controlling Shareholders at 77.42% and Non-controlling Shareholders at 22.58%. The ultimate beneficiaries of SMLE's share ownership, in the name of individuals and corporate entities, are Siu Min and PT SAC. (LK/ZH)
