JAKARTA – The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is closely monitoring the movement of PT Globe Kita Terang Tbk (GLOB) shares, which have experienced an unusual price increase, now flagged under Unusual Market Activity (UMA).

As of the market close today (13/3), GLOB shares rose by 9.26% to IDR 118.00. Over the past week, GLOB shares jumped 44%, while in the past month, they surged 163.41%.

Yulianto Aji Sadono, Head of the IDX Transaction Supervision Division, clarified that the UMA announcement does not automatically imply a regulatory violation in the capital market. However, as a precautionary measure, the IDX continues to monitor GLOB's trading patterns.

The UMA status on GLOB aims to protect investors from potential risks arising from extreme price volatility.

Investors are urged to consider various factors before making investment decisions, including reviewing the company's response to IDX’s request for confirmation, examining the issuer’s performance and information transparency, and re-evaluating corporate actions that have not yet received General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) approval.

“Investors should carefully consider all possibilities before making any investment decisions,” Yulianto concluded in an official statement on Thursday (12/3). (EF/ZH)
