JAKARTA – Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro has officially submitted his resignation from his position as Independent Commissioner of PT TBS Energy Utama Tbk (TOBA).

According to the information disclosure on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the company received the resignation letter from Prof. Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro S.E., M.U.P., Ph.D., on March 7, 2025, with the effective date of resignation set for March 31, 2025.

“The main reason for this resignation is related to the appointment/inauguration of Mr Bambang Permadi Soemantri Brodjonegoro as Dean of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) in Tokyo, Japan,” TOBA management said in the information disclosure on Sunday (16/3).

As previously previously reported by IDNFinancials.com, Brodjonegoro also resigned from his position as President Commissioner and Independent Commissioner of PT Bukalapak.com (BUKA) on March 13 for the same reason.

Following his resignation, both TOBA and BUKA will hold a General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) to comply with Articles of Association of the Company and POJK Number 33/POJK.04/2014 concerning the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of Issuers or Public Companies, and POJK Number 15/POJK.04/2020 regarding the implementation of GMS.

With his new position at ADBI, Bambang Brodjonegoro will play a role in the development of economic and financial policies in the Asian region, in line with his experience and expertise in development planning and macroeconomics. (DK/ZH/VA)
