JAKARTA – PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) plans to increase the price of starter packs and avoid quota price promotions this year. This was conveyed by an analyst from PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas (BRIDS) in the Equity Research Company Update published on Monday (17/3).

Niko Margaronis, BRIDS analyst, stated that this plan was revealed in a meeting between BRIDS analysts and ISAT management. “It indicates plans to raise the price of starter packs, at least from IDR 25,000 for a 3GB package, potentially increasing to IDR 30,000–35,000,” BRIDS said in the report.

In addition, ISAT is aiming to avoid promotional packages with double quotas, such as a 3GB package becoming 6GB. The current market conditions will gradually reduce the oversupply of promotional quota packages, which were aggressively marketed in the previous period.

In line with this, the company has shifted its focus from fluctuating users to a customer base of 95 million by Q4 2024. (LK)
