Palace spokesman denies rumours of Sri Mulyani resigning

JAKARTA - The Presidential Communication Office has denied rumours of Finance Minister Sri Mulyani's resignation. This was conveyed by Hariqo Wibawa Satria, Presidential Communication Spokesperson, on the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Instagram account, Tuesday (18/3).
"We would like to emphasise that the information circulating regarding Sri Mulyani's resignation as Minister of Finance is untrue or a hoax," he said.
According to Indrawati, there has been no official statement from Indrawati regarding her resignation as Finance Minister. Currently, Indrawati is still serving as Finance Minister in the Red and White Cabinet (KMP), which was inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto in October 2024.
Rumours related to Sri Mulyani's resignation as Finance Minister are suspected to be the cause of the JCI's 5% correction, causing the capital market authority to halt trading in session I on Tuesday (18/3) at 11.19.31 Jakarta Automated Trading System (JATS) time. (LK/LM)
