JAKARTA – The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened by 1.12% or 68.08 points in early session I at 10:00 WIB, Wednesday (19/3). JCI's rise was driven by the increase in the prices of blue-chip stocks in the energy, mining, and banking sectors.

In the morning, the Index was at 6,288.37 points, up from its opening level of 6,222.36 points at 09:00 WIB. JCI briefly fell to 6,177.97 points at 09:05 WIB, before rebounding and climbing higher to 6,296.65 points.

Other indices also showed positive movement. LQ45 rose 0.18% to 710.273, IDX30 grew 0.08% to 370.609, IDX80 increased slightly by 0.16% to 103.032, and IDXESGL gained 0.12% to 134.768.

Several companies were in the green in early session I, including PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), which rose 1.49%, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) by 3.23%, and PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) by 0.30%.

Meanwhile, banks also gained in the morning session, with PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) rising by 1.09% and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) increasing by 0.30%. (LK/ZH)
