BMRI, TPIA, and DCII stocks drive JCI up 1.42%

JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) closed Wednesday’s (19/3) trading with a 1.42% increase, reaching 6,311.66.
Among the stocks contributing most to the rise were PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCII), PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI).
DCII’s share price surged 19.99% throughout Wednesday’s trading, while TPIA rose 12.90%, and BMRI increased 3.31%.
DCII contributed 30.56 points to JCI’s rise, TPIA added 15.99 points, and BMRI contributed 13.40 points.
According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Wednesday’s trading volume reached 17.74 billion shares, with transaction values of IDR 14.15 trillion and a total trading frequency of 1.09 million transactions.
Despite JCI's gains, foreign investors remained dominant with selling actions, recording a net sell of IDR 910.65 billion. Total foreign net sell in Indonesia’s stock market year-to-date has increased to IDR 30.33 trillion. (KR/ZH)
