ITMA and SHIP show signs of unusual market activity

JAKARTA – Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) is closely monitoring the share price movements of PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA) and PT Sillo Maritime Perdana Tbk (SHIP), due to indications of unusual transaction patterns, also known as Unusual Market Activity (UMA).
Yulianto Aji Sadono, Head of Transaction Supervision at IDX, stated that the UMA announcement does not necessarily indicate a violation of capital market regulations.
“IDX is currently observing the development of transaction patterns for these stocks,” Yulianto said in an official statement on Wednesday (19 March).
Following this decision, IDX has requested that investors pay attention to the response from each issuer regarding the Exchange's request for confirmation. Additionally, investors are urged to consider the company's fundamentals and potential risks before making any investment decisions.
In Thursday’s (20/3) trading session, ITMA's stock price fell by 4.35% to IDR 660 per share as of 09.17 AM WIB. The mining company’s stock has dropped 10.20% in the past week and 29.03% over the past month.
Meanwhile, SHIP's stock price declined by 2.33% to IDR 1,465 per share as of 09.22 AM WIB. The logistics company’s stock has decreased by 12.26% over the past week and 55.85% in the past month. (EF/KR/ZH)
