ERAA expands business from electric cars to beverages

JAKARTA - PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (ERAA) has been aggressively expanding its business lately, from XPENG electric cars to Chagee drinks. This step shows Erajaya's aggressive business diversification strategy.
Alexander Halim Kusuma, President Commissioner of Erajaya, explained that the company has a clear vision and strategy to move forward and grow.
‘Erajaya is very optimistic about their move to become the largest lifestyle smart retailer in Indonesia,’ he said through an official statement (20/3).
Alexander Halim said the new brands partnered with Erajaya are placed in two main segments, Erajaya Digital and Erajaya Active Lifestyle. On 28 February, Erajaya through PT Sinar Eka Selaras Tbk (ERAL) officially launched the XPENG electric car brand in Indonesia.
‘’With this launch, Erajaya officially became the brand holder agent of XPENG as a premium electric vehicle that has advanced features,‘’ said Alexander.
For information, Erajaya through PT Era Boga Nusantara (EBN) established a joint venture company, PT Chagee Era Indonesia, with Tea Explorer Pte. Ltd. from Singapore. The joint venture will manage and develop Chagee's business in Indonesia. Besides Chagee, Erajaya also holds the Paris Baguette brand in the food sector.
Erajaya continues to strengthen its position in the business sector, which is considered to have great potential. (DH/LM)
