JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) strengthened by 1.11%, or 70.01 points, by the close of stock trading on Thursday (20/3). Large-cap stocks in the banking, energy, and mineral mining sectors underpinned JCI's growth.

In trading, JCI stood at 6,381.67 at the close. It opened at 6,372.61, reaching a high of 6,446.89 points and a low of 6,353.69 points. Yesterday (19/3), JCI closed at 6,311.66.

Meanwhile, other indices were observed to weaken by the close of trading. The LQ45 Index fell by 0.21% to 710.200, the IDX30 dipped slightly by 0.66% to 370.046, the IDX80 weakened by 0.09% to 103.052, and the IDXESGL dropped by 0.91% to 134.324.

Several big market capitalization stocks in the green zone included PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), up by 0.60%; PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), rising by 5.66%, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), jumping by 15.10%, and PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), increasing by 9.17%.
