Jenius launches Cash Cow and Bayar & Nabung

JAKARTA – Jenius, the digital banking service of PT Bank SMBC Indonesia (BTPN), launched two new features in its savings segment, Cash Cow and Bayar & Nabung.
The Cash Cow feature allows customers to save from cashback earned through merchant promotions. This feature was first introduced yesterday, Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Meanwhile, Bayar & Nabung is an additional feature that sets aside funds from the customer’s Active Balance to save in Cash Cow while shopping via QRIS or paying bills.
“With this innovation, Jenius encourages the digitally savvy community to build saving habits,” said Febri Rusli, Digital Banking Product & Innovation Head at SMBC Indonesia, in an official release on Thursday (20/3).
According to Febri, when speaking at the launch of Cash Cow and Bayar & Nabung today (20/3), the Cash Cow feature is aimed at customers with an average savings balance of less than IDR 5 million.
“Typically, optimal interest rates on savings are limited. Hence, Jenius is introducing new innovations like Cash Cow and the Bayar & Nabung capability,” Febri added.
The Cash Cow savings come with an interest rate of up to 6% per annum (p.a.), aligning with the term “cash cow,” which refers to an asset that continuously generates returns.
In fact, for the period from March 19 to August 31, 2025, Cash Cow will offer interest rates of up to 9% p.a.
“With these innovations such as Cash Cow and Bayar & Nabung, Jenius hopes to help users consistently save with every payment transaction,” Febri concluded. (ZH)
