JCI becomes the worst index in ASEAN in a week

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) recorded the worst performance in a week, among ASEAN composite indices, with a decline of 3.95% or 257.45 points to 6,258.18.
According to IDNFinancials.com's monitoring, there were only 2 composite indices in ASEAN that gained in the past week's trading. The two are Singapore's Straits Times Index (STI) and Thailand's SET Index, with increases of 2.36% and 1.09% respectively.
Meanwhile, other composite indices moved lower, but less than 1%.
Vietnam's VN-Index fell 0.17%, the Philippines' PSEI Index fell 0.43%, and the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI lost 0.44%.
BRI Danareksa Sekuritas analysts believe that JCI is still in a long-term bearish trend. Furthermore, JCI is expected to continue to move in the consolidation area. with support 6,222 and resistance 6,463. (KR/LM)
